Chainlink Labs Launches CCIP v2: Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol Expands to 30 Networks
Chainlink Labs today announced the general availability of CCIP v2, expanding its cross-chain interoperability protocol to 30 blockchain networks with enhanced security and 10x throughput improvement.
SAN FRANCISCO, May 28, 2026 — Chainlink Labs, the developer of the Chainlink decentralized oracle network, today announced the general availability of the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) v2, expanding to 30 blockchain networks and delivering a 10x throughput improvement over the previous version.
CCIP v2 introduces a new consensus mechanism for cross-chain message validation, reducing finality times from 20 minutes to under 90 seconds on Ethereum. The upgrade also adds native support for Solana, Aptos, and Sui, addressing developer demand from high-throughput blockchain ecosystems.
"CCIP v2 represents a fundamental leap in cross-chain infrastructure. We're enabling a truly connected blockchain ecosystem where assets and data can move securely across networks in near real-time." — Sergey Nazarov, Co-founder, Chainlink
The protocol is now live on mainnet and available for integration by developers at chainlink.io/ccip.
